Leveraging Free Marketing Strategies

With limited funds, traditional marketing methods were off the table. We focused on three free marketing strategies: public relations, partnerships, and word-of-mouth.

Editorials in newspapers provided more exposure than paid ads, partnerships with local businesses expanded our reach, and exceptional service led to glowing testimonials and referrals.

Effective Marketing: PR can be more impactful than advertising. Build relationships with local media, create partnerships with complementary businesses, and deliver exceptional service to generate positive word-of-mouth.

Achieving Economies of Scale for Sustainability

To ensure long-term sustainability, we needed to scale. We moved from small, one-day camps to larger, multi-day camps. Scaling required reinvesting profits back into the business for better facilities and staff.

Setting up efficient systems and standard operating procedures was crucial during this phase.

Scaling Insight: Economies of scale can significantly reduce costs and increase profits. Reinvest profits wisely and set up systems and procedures to manage growth effectively.

Finding Purpose Beyond Profit

One of the biggest challenges was maintaining motivation in the face of hard work and low pay.
